Shreveport, LA – July 29, 2025 — Merco announced the expansion of its popular MercoEco® visual holding cabinet series with the introduction of two new deep‑capacity designs: the MHV and MHD models. Developed in direct response to customer feedback, the new units allow operators to hold larger quantities of food longer, with improved quality, while using significantly less counter space than traditional hot food tables.
The new MHV model is designed to accommodate 12” x 20” x 4” deep trays, while the MHD expands the lineup to support full‑size 12” x 20” x 2.5” deep trays. Both models are available in one, two, three, or four‑pan configurations and are equipped with Merco’s exclusive 7‑inch visual touchscreen controller.
“Operators told us they need to hold more food, hold it longer, and do it in less space—without sacrificing quality,” said Sheri Noordhof, Vice President of Sales. “The new MHV and MHD units deliver on all three.”
Internal testing shows MercoEco visual holding units can hold food more than twice as long as traditional steam tables, while maintaining superior temperature consistency, texture, and overall product quality. The compact footprint also delivers meaningful space savings, allowing operators to hold four 12” x 20” trays in 21 inches or less of horizontal counter space. Landscape models with a top‑mounted controller measure just 16.2 inches wide.
All MercoEco holding units use radiant top and bottom heat for even, controlled holding. To increase operational flexibility, units come standard with a removable back, allowing easy conversion from single‑sided to dual‑sided service. Dual‑sided touchscreen models are also available for operations requiring visual controls on both sides.
Standard MercoEco Visual Holding Features Include:
- Multiple Configurations: One, two, three, and four tray options; single or dual‑sided service
